Memorial Day - Parade

Mancelona's annual Memorial Day parade begins at 9:00 a.m.

Participants: Meet at Dairy Delight by the Post Office 8:30 a.m. The parade is led by American Legion George Puckett Post #264. Girl scouts, boy scouts, those currently serving in the armed forces, veterans, Mancelona's marching band, law enforcement, fire departments, etc., are invited to participate. To honor the servicemen and women who sacrified their lives for the nation, and to keep the focus on the meaning of Memorial Day, political entries, celebration floats and entries of the like are excluded from participation.

If you are currently serving, retired from the military, or are in the scouts groups, we welcome you to join in the parade. Registration is not necessary. Please arrive between 8:30 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. for placement in the parade.

Mancelona's parade begins on State. Street at the traffic light, 9:00 a.m.
First stop - Mancelona Township Library for a service
Second stop - Fairview Cemetery (across from Tri-Gas, on State Street / Cedar River Road
Third stop - St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery - West Limits (just south of High School)

All are invited to attend, and march along with the parade.
